These booklets, intended primarily for residents of and visitors to the Slocan Valley in southeastern British Columbia, Canada, seek to provide accessible, well-written and well-illustrated accounts of various aspects of the valley’s past. Manuscripts are encouraged.
Anyone considering a submission should be in touch with Cole Harris, the series editor. (charris@geog.ubc.ca).

The Slocan History Booklet Series was a project started by geographical historian Cole Harris. Having grown up spending summers in the Slocan on the family’s historic ranch Cole developed an interest in history. Now retired, Cole has had the opportunity to go through his grandfather’s papers and has found some writings worth publishing. These, in addition to some of his own contributions formed the beginnings of the Slocan History Series. Other members of our region (authors names) have contributed booklets such as (names) to round out the topics covered and of course, there’s more to come.
